Whenever you’re preparing for a special event, one of your main concern, other than what dress to wear, is how to wear your hair or what hairstyle you should do. Romantic hairstyles are very feminine and lovely to look at. There are lots of romantic hairstyles and we’ve gathered some of the prettiest that you can try next time you have a special event to go to.

  • Soft curls – if you’ve got long hair and not much time for styling it, soft curls are always a great way to make your hair look romantic. Curl in sections if you want to achieve more volume in your hair and to get better looking curls. You can probably do your entire hair in 5 to 10 minutes tops as you don’t have to curl for long periods because you’re going for soft curls. Use hairspray if you’re expecting a long day or night in this hairstyle. Soft curls look gorgeous on their own but if you want more daintiness, you can always adorn your hair in pretty clips or a gorgeous headband.

  • Curly side ponytail – any hairstyle automatically gets a romantic vibe when it’s done with curled hair. Get one of Taylor Swift’s signature hair and turn your ordinary ponytail into a more romantic one by styling it at one side instead of at the back and curl it to add elegance to this casual hairstyle.

  • Dutch braid updo – this romantic hairstyle is such a versatile look for summer; you can wear it to a day  event and to a night event as well. The beautiful braids on your head are gorgeous enough to stand out on their own which makes hair adornments and hair accessories unnecessary.  If you don’t want our hair to get all kinky-curly at the end of the day, you can also substitute the braids with twists instead which will give you waves when removed.

  • Romantic half updo – if you’re torn between letting your hair down and doing a really chic and elegant updo, perhaps you should consider having a half up, half down hairstyle on you. This is also popularly referred to as a half updo. Simply part your hair in half, style the top half whichever way you desire (plain, braided, twisted, beehive or pompadour, etc.) and curl the bottom half for a flirty and romantic feel. Half updos are always more romantic when side swept bangs are added to the look.
