I’ve been hearing so much about Milani blushes for a while and I finally got my hands on Fantastico Mauve. It is a soft pinky-purple with a slight sheen that has become one of my favorite drugstore blushes.
Consistent with all Milani blushes I’ve seen around, Fantistico Mauve has a veiny overlay that with frequent use, will be brushed away to reveal a solid mauve-berry shade.
On my skin, this blush swatches a slightly lighter shade of pink than the deeper berry color in the pan. The texture is very smooth and though there are some sparkles in the pan, it applies on the cheeks with only a slight glow that also serves as a subtle highlight.
I found this blush wears well during the day even with my oily skin. The high level of pigmentation really helps with the longevity.
I am quite pleased with the packaging as it contains a generous amount of product and a flip top mirror and included brush. As you can probably tell, I have never used the brush it comes with but I love that there is a fairly sanitary compartment for on-the-go touchups that doesn’t add much bulk.
Milani blushes are sold at drugstores and retail between $6 and $9.
Overall, I am really glad I picked up this blush. The formulation is soft and smooth and its high pigmentation works perfectly to show up and last even on dark skin. I will definitely purchase more shades in the future!
I give Fantastico Mauve 4.5/5!
Thanks so much for reading!
