NARS Blush – Taos: A Review & Swatch

I have another blush review for you today from NARS called Taos. It is a beautiful orangey-peach with a brick-red undertone and gold shimmer laced throughout. The product website describes this as a desert rose but this appears much redder than a typical desert rose shade.

NARS Blush - Taos A Review & Swatch

I picked up Taos recently because I thought it would pair well with the citrusy peach and orange lipstick shades I’ve been loving recently and it does not disappoint!

NARS Blush - Taos

This blush is super pigmented and adds a nice glow and freshness to liven up the skin. A little goes a long way, so apply with a light hand. It applies quite velvety and lasts all day.

NARS Blush

I do like the sleek packaging of NARS blushes and the full mirror included. The outer material is made out of some kind of rubbery finish and is notorious for showing fingerprints and dust spots.

Below is a swatch of Taos. Even though it does contain shimmer, it is not too obvious on the skin in daylight – which I like. (Sorry for the goosebumps…..I was cold lol). I applied the blush a little heavy-handed so it would show up on camera but I would normally wear this much sheerer.

NARS Blush - Taos Swatch

NARS blushes are sold at Sephora and Nordstrom for $28 each.

NARS Blush look
Bottomline: I do like this blush. The color and finish are beautiful and it would suit many skin tones. Longevity is great and the sleek packaging is perfect for storage and travel but the finish of the casing is really difficult to keep clean. It is more on the expensive side at $28 a pop but the high quality is very apparent.

Overall, I give Taos a 4.5 out of 5
