Review: ORS Hair Mayonnaise (Deep Conditioner)

What do winter hair, curly hair and long hair have in common? Dryness! The result can be a frizzy, straw-like mess. When I feel like my hair needs a little extra TLC (or I feel extra fancy) I love to use ORS Hair Mayonnaise. It is a very thick, moisturizing treatment that leaves my hair oh-so-soft!
ORS Hair Mayonnaise (Deep Conditioner)

This hair treatment contains egg protein, olive oil, nettle, safflower oil, soybeans, amino acids and lots of other herbal, moisturizing and reconstructive ingredients that help repair and strengthen damaged/dry hair.

I use this on freshly shampooed hair and allow it to sit for at least 10-15 minutes. For an extra deep-penetrating treatment, I leave it on for 30-45 minutes (or longer) under a plastic cap for best results. When I rinse it out, my hair is super silky and tangle-free. Best of all, it feels very moisturized and styles more easily.

The consistency is a very thick and heavy cream. As you can see in the photo above, it still shows my finger path from the last time I used it (a week ago!). Due to its thickness, it coats every strand and allows knots and tangles to simply slide out. The scent is light and citrusy.

You can find ORS Hair Mayonnaise in drugstores and Sally Beauty Supply between $7-$11 for the big 16 oz jar (that will last forever!). If you want to just test it out, the treatment also comes in individual packets for around $1 each.

I’ve been using this Hair Mayonnaise for over 2 years and would highly recommend it to anyone with thick, curly or damaged hair as a weekly or bi-weekly treatment. If you have fine or thin hair, it can still work but applied a bit more sparingly to reduce weighing the hair down.

I give ORS Hair Mayonnaise a whopping 5/5!
