It seems many brands are coming out with splattered paint effects nail polishes and Sally Hansen cant be left out of this party! Pixel Perfect is a clear-based top coat with different sized black and white circular and hexagonal spots and short stripes.
The effect is similar to graffiti splatters and looks great over any solid base color. In the photo above, I used 3 coats of Pixel Perfect over Revlon’s Impulsive. Below, is a swatch of one coat of the polish.
The density of the splatters was not as tight as I would have liked and I found myself “glitter-diving” at times. But this was a little inconsistent as sometimes I got a lot of the matte glitters and other times not much at all.
Nevertheless, I think this is such a fun overcoat that is different enough from the regular sparkly glitters. In these photos I did not apply a top coat and it did not feel gritty for the most part but some of the larger particles did not lay down completely flat, so they snagged just a bit. Top coat for me the next time. 🙂
Pixel Perfect is just one of a fairly large new collection of glitters, neons and new shades from Sally Hansen. You can find the Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear line in drugstores between $2.50 – $4.
