Whether you care to admit it or not, I’m pretty sure that you have those days when you just don’t want to do anything to your face at all. You know it can put a damper on to your beauty but you think “who cares? I’m just too lazy to do it”. Thankfully, even the laziest girl has a shot to looking gorgeous all the time, even on very lazy days. If you’re someone who doesn’t always have time to take care of yourself and follow a beauty routine or, again, if you’re just plain lazy like me, I’m sure these overnight beautifying habits will blow you away! Who would’ve thought you could get prettier while you sleep? Check them out below.
Remove makeup before you sleep – it’s a very easy thing to do and it takes less than 5 minutes to get done so make sure you do this religiously every night. Having no makeup on while you sleep lets your skin breathe and it makes it easier for the skin to refresh itself and rejuvenate overnight. If you’re really tired, at least try to get most of your makeup off before you snooze away by wiping your face with makeup remover wipes. If you’re someone who tends to get home drained all the time, make sure to keep a pack in your nightstand so you can conveniently reach for it when you need it.
Add an extra pillow – it’s nothing too tiring and it’s not too much of a big deal but you’ll be amazed at what an extra pillow can do for you. Propping your head up higher while you sleep will have you waking up with less puffy eyes in the morning. This is because when your head is elevated, fluid doesn’t accumulate around the area but is drained away instead.
Use whitening toothpasteat night – sure, you can use it in the morning as well but because you don’t do anything else with your mouth and teeth at night while you sleep, the whitening toothpaste has a better chance of working its magic and giving your shiny, pearly whites.
Turn on the humidifier – tired of waking up with super dry, flaky and sometimes itchy skin? Turn the humidifier on before you hop in bed and see how much more moisturized and plump your skin will be in the morning. This is especially useful during the cold winter months. If you don’t have a humidifier and you have dry skin, it’s time you think about investing in one.
Vaseline – Vaseline is an indispensible product that you can use for many different things. Put some on your lips, eyes and lashes at night to wake up to make the lips and the skin around the eye area softer and the lashes more conditioned. You can also slather some on to your feet and slip some socks on for super soft feel the next day. Got dry spots and patches? Rub some Vaseline on and see how soft they are when morning comes.
