I love pizza as much as the next girl but trying to be healthy and still eat pizza is hard, occasionally I’ll venture off to Pizza Express or Prezzo with friends and have the lighter options which, thank god are delicious but I wanted to create this at home. So I turned my brain on and get thinking, and decided that using the Warburtons Square Wraps could work, they’re nice and big, they’re thicker than normal wraps, the taste good and they’re healthy! Each one only has 159 calories and with the topping, sauce, cheese and a heaping pile of spinach mine came to just 436 calories and it was so filling!
Ingredients – Serves 2
2 Warburtons Square Wraps
Tomato Sauce ( I used this recipe but only made a 1/3)
1 Small Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 Red Pepper, thinly sliced
4 Large Mushrooms, sliced
100g Light Mozzarella, torn
A Handful of Basil Leaves, torn
Olive Oil for Drizzling
A Pinch of Chilli Flakes
Salt and Pepper
Or your choice of toppings!
Method – Takes about 20 minutes!
1. Preheat the oven to 225c. While the oven is heating up spread the sauce thinly over the wraps, you don’t want to much because it’ll make it soggy. Add the torn mozzarella, sliced veggies and drizzle over a little olive oil and season with the salt and pepper. Sprinkle over the chilli flakes and basil leaves.
2. Pop the pizzas on the top shelf of the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes, make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn!
