Remember Trick-or-Treating every year and our neighborhood was THEE neighborhood to be in?! It’s crazy that after all these years Mom and Dad’s neighborhood is still the most crowded place in town, by all means they do have some of the greatest stops. Not to mention their own home where dad is always excitedly waiting to scare trick-or-treaters.
I think one of the things I look forward to the most is stopping in at the Ozburns to warm up with some great company, delicious goodies, and the best hot cider EVER! It’s definitely become a holiday favorite and so so easy to make.
All you need is:
2 quarts of Apple Cider
1/2 a cup of brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon of whole allspice
1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves
All you do is put the cider, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and orange slices (however many you like) in a crock-pot
Then, in either tie the allspice and cloves in cheese cloth or put in a tea strainer and place it in the crock-pot.
Cover and then set on low for 2 to 8 hours
when it’s done you’ll have something absolutely yummy, warm, and a little reminder of home!
Thank you Craig and Melodee for sharing your wonderful recipe:)
Love you all,
