Wax Paper & Crayon Chandelier

Wax Paper & Crayon Chandelier
K. So you know when you start to make something and you get so excited then halfway through your life wow I hate this thing. I actually had this 90% finished like two weeks ago. But halfway through the project I hated it! Today I finally finished it up 100%. And let me say…I am SO glad I didn’t just scrap it. I love the way it looks in the light. If your following us onpinterest you might have seen a mobile made out of a lamp shade and when I saw that I knew I wanted to do something with the lampshade I had.
How to make:
Grab yourself some crayons, a razor blade, some wax paper, and your iron. Spread out some wax paper, shave some crayons in the middle of the wax paper
Crayon
Then cover your shavings with another wax paper.

Then take your iron and start from the middle and push outwards.

Keep going until you get something you like but it should be a relatively thin layer to look cool in the sun.

at this point it’s whatever you want to do with it!
What I did was cut the sheet into imperfect circles…

and then poked a hold in the middle of the circle and slid it onto a string tying knots where I wanted the circle to hang.

Then I covered my lamp shade in some white fabric and glued on the strings of circles.

So here’s to finishing projects. Sometimes there are projects that you need to just walk away from for a while, and then come back and finish!
