Medium length hair is very limiting when it comes to styling. This is often the length that’s either too short for some hairstyles or too long for the others. Often times, women with medium length hair just tend to keep their hair down in a headband or a hair clip because it seems most convenient but it doesn’t have to be the case anymore. We’ve gathered a few easy hairstyles for medium length hair that you can try on yourself.

  • Low side bun – this is perfect for medium length hair because the bun is not placed too high like a top knot. To do this, simply gather your hair to one side, secure in a pony tail, wrap around in a bun, and secure with bobby pins. Don’t worry about some hair falling out, a messy low side bun always looks sexy, anyway. This hairstyle works well with 2nd day hair but you can always give your just washed hair the same texture by applying products on it while damp and then letting it air dry.

  • Side twist half updo – if you’re looking for an easy but sweet looking hairstyle, the side twist half updo is a perfect choice. To make, just part your hair in the middle then grab about an 1” section from each side. You may put the remainder of your hair in a ponytail so that it doesn’t blend in with the separated section. Next, twist one of the sections that you’ve pulled out. Twist it until you reach the end and pull it to the back and secure with bobby pins. Do the same thing on the other section. You can also curl your hair before or after to add volume.

  • Up top pompadour – for those days when you really just don’t feel like you want your hair hangin in front of you, try doing the up top pompadour. All you will need for this is a teasing comb, hairspray and bobby pins. Take the bangs section of your hair, tease, spritz on hairspray, smooth out the top, twist once, pull back and secure with bobby pins. Adjust the height of the bump by pushing it forward or pulling it backwards. This hairstyle will take you literally about five minutes.

So the next time you’re feeling lazy or in a rush, try one of these easy hairstyles for medium length hair to keep you looking sassy and chic.
