Most of the time, we start to admire celebrities because of their gorgeous looks and their impeccable acting skills. Others are blessed with more than just one talent. Sometimes they have a combination of two or more talents. Then we grow to love them more because of their kind and generous deeds towards others as well as their support for various organizations and charities. But, wouldn’t it be more awesome if there were celebs who had all these plus a really good head on their shoulders as well? Having both beauty and brains isn’t rare at all in Hollywood. There are a lot of celebs who have impressive degrees from reputable colleges and universities. To prove this, here’s a quick list of Hollywood’s beauty and brains: celebrities who are worth looking up to.

• Natalie Portman – here’s an easy one: Natalie Portman. You’ve probably already seen her top similar lists like this but this run down of Hollywood’s beauty and brains just wouldn’t be complete without her. We are all captivated by her beauty and her talent for acting is definitely pure genius but did you know that she’s also really smart? Natalie finished high school with a 4.0 GPA and then she went on to attend Harvard, yes Harvard, where she got her Psychology degree and published two academic papers. And, as if that isn’t enough, she’s also fluent in five different languages.

• Alicia Keys – R’n’B Queen Alicia Keys may have dropped out of college to sign a deal with Columbia Records but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t got a bright head on her shoulders. Alicia graduated from high school at the age of 16, way earlier than most of us, and she graduated as the class valedictorian, too! Before signing with Columbia Records, she did plan on furthering her education and was accepted (with a scholarship to boot) at Columbia University. We’re glad she chose her career, though. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have all the great songs she’s given us.

• Mira Sorvino – here’s a serious case of Hollywood’s beauty and brains: Mira Sorvino. You’ve seen her in the comedy film Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion as well as in the extreme action film The Replacement Killers. Originally, Mira was encouraged by her father who’s also an actor (Paul Sorvino)to get into acting and while she did take the same path her father did, she also decided to get serious education. Mira majored in Chinese at Harvard where she graduated as magna cum laude. Her senior thesis entitled Anti-Africanism in the People’s Republic of China” has received Harvard’s Hoopes Prize for writing and she’s not only fluent in Mandarin but in French, too.

• Shakira – we all know she’s got some really good booty shaking, hip grinding skills as well as an awesome and sexy voice but that’s not all there is to this gorgeous Latina. Shakira began to write poetry at the early age of 4, just when most of us were starting to talk in a straight sentence. She’s also very fluent in 4 different languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian and has recently take a few more history classes at UCLA.
