Having beautiful, flawless and youthful-looking skin can be quite a challenge if you live a very busy lifestyle that leaves you almost no more time for pampering yourself and your skin. Aside from that, a lot of skin care treatments you can get from spas to rejuvenate your skin can burn a hole in your pocket. Luckily, there are so many things you can do for your skin using only things that you most likely already have at home. These DIY skin care treats are a great alternative to spa treatments and they’re so much more affordable and accessible you can do them at home on weekends.

  • Anti-wrinkle grape treatment – grapes are delicious but did you know that they’re great for preventing wrinkles too? This is because grapes are rich in vitamins as well as in antioxidants. With grapes, you can make an anti-wrinkle cleanser that you can use on a regular basis. All you need to do is to mix half a cup of grapes with 1 teaspoon olive oil, ¼ cup of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of baking soda then mix it until it reaches a smooth consistency, massage onto face and rinse with warm water.

  • Avocado and honey face mask – if you’re looking for a way to make your skin feel smoother, softer and suppler and if you want to get that radiant glow every woman wants, you should definitely stock up on avocados. Avocados contain healthy oils, fibers, vitamins and anti oxidants in them that makes them not only good for DIY beauty treats but for healthy snacking as well. Anytime you feel that you skin needs to be replenished, just mash a ripe avocado and mix it with a full tablespoon of honey then slather it on to your face and let sit for 20 to 30 minutes before washing off. You will discover softer skin after this treatment.

  • Citrus peeling and exfoliation – exfoliating your skin is important because it helps get rid of dead skin cells that are making it feel rough and dry. Citrus fruits such as lemon and oranges work great as natural exfoliants. To create your citrus peel, just mix a tablespoon each of lemon juice and orange juice with half a cup of plain yogurt and apply onto face. Leave it on for 20 minutes so that the citric acids from the fruits can work their magic and then rinse it off with warm water.

  • Milk and honey bath – this one sure sounds luxurious enough to get you into doing it without even knowing what it would do for your skin. Other than being luxurious and relaxing though, a milk and honey bath can help you get lighter, baby soft skin. Just fill your tub with warm water and add in 2 cups of whole milk along with half a cup of honey to it and let your mind drift away and your skin replenish itself. You can also add Epsom salt into the mix for added detoxification and exfoliation.
