Make sure you don’t pull your hair much to avoid pain and permanent hair loss, if it pains redo from first.

Then divide the small partitions further into three parts and start to plait one over the other and after three knots, start taking the hair below the plait little by little and add to the middle strand and make it as one when you plait it. Continue this till the end of the hair by adding little hair left behind each time you braid the stitch. By doing so till the end you get a beautiful cornrow hairstyle.

Care your cornrows:

Always make sure to moisturize your hair with oil or moisturizing braiding spray; everyday to avoid dryness, if left without care dandruff may start to accumulate in the scalp.

Remember to tie a scarf or any cloth around the braids to protect it from getting frizzy or tangled during sleep.

Washing the braid once in a week is needed as you can use mild shampoo and you can wear a stocking cap over the braids before washing them and then gently wash under direct water to clear the lather thoroughly.

Braids beyond 6 weeks will damage the hair, and hence carefully remove them and then later you may again style after a week’s gap. Having a style for longer time will result in damage.
